A Review of Booth Memorial Youth and Family Services

Many young women find themselves in need of outside help because their use of drugs or alcohol has taken over their lives. Unfortunately today there are a lot of young women 12 to 18 years of age who desperately need guidance and support but are unable to receive the help they need. Booth Memorial Youth and Family Services has been providing help for young women and families since 1965 which started out as a home for unwed mothers. Today they provide comprehensive programs for young women aged 12 to 18 who are in need of education, guidance and treatment for substance abuse problems. Residential Treatment for Substance Abuse

They have a Level III Residential Treatment Program for women 12 to 18 that have been referred to them because they’re in need of a structured and supervised setting while receiving help for substance abuse problems. Young women receive around the clock care, education, counseling, medication if needed, aftercare and many other important treatment services to help them stop drinking, using drugs, and make healthy changes in their life. Young women learn the importance of making positive choices so their futures can be happy and rewarding.

Booth Memorial Youth and Family Services in Alaska also provide a Level II Emergency Stabilization Center, Family Reunification Program, Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Project, Community Education and an Outpatient and Aftercare Substance Abuse Program. This wonderful organization teaches young women the importance of life, helps them raise their self-esteem and self-worth and gives them a whole new outlook on life.
