In Michigan you’ll not only find amazing landscape and beautiful sunrises and sunsets, you can also find excellent treatment and care if you’re in need of help for substance use disorders. Harbor Hall is an addiction treatment center that provides various levels of care for people needing help for substance use. Starting out as a halfway house for men in 1974 called Half Way Home, Inc. eventually the name was changed to Harbor Hall and today provides various treatment programs to help people reach their goals of recovery from substance use and dependency.

Harbor Hall’s Long-Term Residential Treatment services are designed for adult males eighteen and older. Research shows the longer a person receives treatment for substance use the more effective their recovery will be but many inpatient programs only entail 30 days of residential care. It’s different at Harbor Hall, their Residential Treatment Program is ninety days or more, it just depends on the resident’s needs. Some of the services that are provided during long term residential treatment at Harbor Hall include individual assessments, individualized treatment plans, AA and NA meetings and the important tools they need to maintain a substance free life.

Sub-Acute Detoxification is also provided at Harbor Hall’s Residential Treatment Center for men 18 and older. Safely monitored detoxification is overseen by their physician and medications are provided if needed.

There are a wide range of Outpatient Services provided by Harbor Hall to help people achieve recovery from their addiction. Outpatient programs are based on the principles of AA and depending on the client’s needs Harbor Hall provides many different services to help adults and adolescents make positive lasting changes in their life.

Harbor Hall in Michigan also provides a Transitional Living Residence for individuals who may be in need of a safe, clean and sober environment after completing treatment. There are specific guidelines to follow and support groups to attend while residing at Harbor Hall’s Transitional Living Residence. Residents are able to continue to put into practice the knowledge and tools they learned during residential treatment and develop helpful skills pertaining to bills, budgets, managing money and other important responsibilities.
